As the parent organization and a primary funding source, Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, Wis., has played a critical role in making Great Rivers 2-1-1 available to residents of Western Wisconsin, Northeast Iowa and Southeast Minnesota. The health system is committed to providing community services that promote the health and well-being of people throughout the region.
United Way also plays a critical role in making 2-1-1 available in the Tri-state Region and, in fact, across the U.S. The Great Rivers United Way has provided significant support to Great Rivers 2-1-1, moving the service into a core offering of its organizational structure. In addition, Marathon County United Way also supports Great Rivers 2-1-1 for its role in providing after-hours 211 services.
Great Rivers 2-1-1 also receives funds from the La Crosse and Eau Claire County Departments of Human Services and from 211 Wisconsin.
