Great Rivers 2-1-1 offers students the opportunity to learn about community resources, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and information and referral services through a formal internship program.

Program specifics

The internship program is set up to accommodate the following:

  1. Students who require a formal internship program to graduate and can commit to 30-40 hours per week.
  2. Individuals with a current status of junior or senior level in college and who would not be obtaining credit hours.
  3. Individuals who have obtained a college degree in one of the human service fields (social work, psychology, sociology, community health).

For individual noted under No. 2 and No. 3 above, a minimal commitment of 12 hours per week for a semester or four months, with a total of 200 service hours is required.
